Biography

Peter M. Cordovano, Esq is an experienced and resolute attorney, providing the seriously injured with expert legal service since 1986.  Peter has been 'AV Distinguished Peer-Review Rated' by Martindale Hubbell since 2018, and has been recognized as one of the Hudson Valley Top Lawyers since 2020.  The firm only retains meritorious cases, and Peter M Cordovano, PC works every one of our case to success. 

Peter received a BS in pre-medical sciences from Manhattan College, and his Doctorate of Law from the Jacob D. Fuchsberg - Touro Law Center.  For many years, Mr. Cordovano served his state, county and towns as a Delegate to the NYS Third District's Judicial Committee, and as a Board of Ethics Member to the Ulster County Legislature and the Village of New Paltz. In the 1980s, Peter was a motorcade driver for President Ronald Reagan in New York City.

In the last 40 years, Peter M. Cordovano, Esq focused his practice on many areas of law.  Earlier in his career, Peter was known to respond to the question “what kind of law do you practice” by stating, “it’s easier for me to state what kinds of law I don’t practice.” 

Peter’s breath of legal experience and knowledge is extensive. In addition to continuing legal education, Peter continues to be a student of anatomy, physiology, illnesses, diseases and conditions. Peter has lectured before the NYS Bar Association and the Injured Workers Bar Association of NYS.

Today, Peter practices before the NYS Workers Compensation Board representing both Injured Workers and Uninsured Employers in injury and penalty cases. The firm also represents workers injured in all types of construction accidents, including falls from heights and falling objects.  Social Security Disability Cases (SSDI) and NYS & Local Retirement Disability Cases are also accepted.
